Okay, well, I'll just start with an introduction. My husband's name is Randy Hale. My name is Brianna Hale and my maiden name is Randall. Randy and I were married in the St. George Temple May 31, 2008. It was the happiest and best day of my life. Randy and I met in the singles ward. It all started when he asked me to an institute dance. Didn't even know each other before we met. Some people in the singles ward nudged Randy to ask me out. He did it over the phone. It was cute, but while he was doing that he also was looking at Televisions (not that he was going to buy one). So, he asked me to the dance and I said yes. The dance was November 30, 2007. He wanted to take me out for ice cream the night before, so he did. It was fun. We talked about nothing but ourselves and he was a real gentleman. The next day was the institute dance and I got really excited. For our day date, we went four wheeling in Leeds. It was really rainy and muddy, but I had so much fun with him. We barrowed his friend's four wheeler. I had so much fun with him. My clothes got all wet and muddy, but that's okay. I still had fun. Before the dance, we went with some people from our student ward and ate dinner at Applebee's. It was very yummy and fun. We went to the dance and danced the night away. It was the best first date of my life. He was warming up to me on our first date. Holding my hand, putting his arms around me, you know, stuff like that. I thought to myself this guy really likes me. Turns out I was right. He really did like me. The dance was fun. Food, good music, and dancing. I had a great time. That night, when he took me home, he walked me to the door, took me in his arms and said, "Can I see you again?" I said, "Yes." So, we did. We did a lot of fun stuff for dates after that. A lot of these amazing things started to happen and I started to like him back. We started talking about marriage a lot like a month or two after we started dating finally one day he told me that he had bought a ring for me. I couldn't believe my ears when he told me. Everyday after that I always thought he would pop the question and then he just didn't. On February 2, 2008, he started acting really weird around me and I thought to myself that something was up. He took me to Cougar Cliffs that night. We probably hiked for only a minute. It was very cold outside. We got to this really romantic spot. It was sunset. It was a rocky cliff and we sat down and talked for a minute. There was a rope tied to a rock. The blue rope was dangling off the cliff. I first noticed the rope when we got there to that spot. I thought to myself: Okay, that's weird. Finally, he said, "Oh, look, I wonder what that rope is for. Let's pull it up and see what's on it." We pulled it up and tied to it was a basket (a green laundry basket no less, which was really funny). In the basket, was dinner from Bajio and a blanket. Before we got to Cougar Cliffs, Randy's friend, Danny, had tied the rope to the rock, got us dinner, and a blanket. I thought it was such a cute idea. Anyway, we laid the blanket out and ate dinner on it. It was a very yummy dinner. We both had Chicken Taco Salad. Yummy, yummy! Like I said before, it was freezing, so we wrapped ourselves in the blanket and he held me in his arms. We kind of just sat there for a minute when he said, "Babe?" I said, "What?".............(long pause because I was laying on the pocket the ring was in, which he was trying to get out) I'm like, "What?!" He said, "I've taken you to great heights! Will you take me higher?" (Ladies: Awwwwwwe!) Then, he finally got the ring out and he put it on my finger. At this point, I was really speechless and gitty, which you could probably tell in my voice when I said, "Yes!" After all of this, I was not myself. I was probably gitty for the rest of that night. We sat there and watched the sunset until it was done. We went back to my house to spill the news. When we got to the house, we both went in. My mom was in the kitchen. I sat my hand on the counter and it took her a minute to notice. When she finally saw the ring, she said, "OH!" Tears came to her eyes when she saw it. Then, when my Dad came in the room, he figured out what was going on after he saw my face. I never can keep a straight face. Then, he said, "So, you took her hiking so she could say yes?" I thought that was funny. I couldn't really sleep that night. We did a lot of planning for the next four months after that. All I ever thought about was wedding plans. It was very stressful to plan, but it was so fun and worth it. The day of my wedding, I put on my third white dress. I was so happy. He was so happy. That day, I felt like a princess. He was my prince who swept me off my feet at a time when I needed it the most. The weather was perfect. The reception. The luncheon. But the most perfect and important thing of all was the sealing in the temple. I dreamed of getting sealed in the temple for time and all eternity. That day, my dream had come true. The other most important thing was the man across the alter I was getting sealed to. He is my life. My strength. My teacher. My everything. My joy. My happiness. My angel. My best friend. He's always there for me. When I walked out of that temple. I felt peace. I felt joy. I felt happiness. I felt blessings shower over. Most of all, I felt the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. My husband is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love with all my heart. I always see the love of Christ through his eyes. He has the biggest heart I know of. My wedding day was so beautiful and I will never forget it.
